Master of Human Resource Management (MHRM) is an undergraduate degree program particularly designed for those who join IAS after 14 years of education (BA / BSc / BCom). This program aims at developing quality HRM professionals for private and public service organizations. The alumni of this program are holding senior and mid-level HR positions in multinational and national organizations. This program is being offered in the morning as well as in the evening session. Students who wish to enroll in the evening program must be in service or self-employed.
Entry requirement for MHRM program is a Bachelorâ€™s degree (BA / B.Sc / B.Com or equivalent) awarded after 14 years of education with at least 2nd division. Age should not be more than 26 years. There is no age limit in the evening program.
The MHRM graduates are eligible for admission to MPA and MPhil programs of IAS. The graduates of this program are holding key positions in national and multinational organizations. This program is well known in the corporate sector for its quality and being the first HRM program in the country.
MHRM is a 2 years program. The maximum duration for the completion is 4 years. However, the students exceeding 2 years will not be entitled to any facility normally available to regular students such as hostel accommodation, medical care and transportation. Evening students are not entitled for hostel accommodation.
The MHRM degree will be awarded upon completion of coursework (60 credit hours), research project (4 credit hours) and professional development workshop (2 credit hours). Since evening students are already employed, they are not required to do internship. The coursework consists of foundation and core courses. The following are the requirements for MHRM degree:

MHRM students will be required to complete an internship based research project of 15,000-20,000 words worth 4 credit hours. The students will be placed with relevant organizations for summer internship. During the internship, each student will select a topic of research on any management issue of the host organization and collect data. This research project forms an important part of the MHRM program and it also acts as a capstone to integrate theory and practice.
