Women Leadership Program 2016 – Press Release
Institute of Administrative sciences in collaboration with Career Buzz – a career development forum, organized a four day Conference, “Women Leadership Program 2016” from 22nd – 25th September, 2016. This program was conducted to enable women to build life skills and influence on multiple fronts and create a personalized plan to build their career like never before. The conference featured women participants from academics, corporate, fashion, arts and culture. The whole event was focused on these various aspects including Women Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Personal Branding, Positive Thinking, Communication Skills, Teamwork and Followership, Diversity and Interpersonal Skills Development.
Mr. Fasial Akbar Awan – Founder, The Career Buzz, trainer & career coach welcomed the audience and shared the pleasure of having a large number of women from different walks of life at one platform. Leadership styles of men & women were discussed and especially how it affects their leadership and followership in the workplace.
The conference aimed at providing a forum for women from all sectors of society to network and share ideas and to provide an environment for fostering women leadership. With the best renowned speakers lined up, the conference proved to be one of the most influential platforms to develop awareness about leadership in women of Pakistan.

One of the best features of the program was the presentation of local female role models for participants that encouraged them to achieve more in practical terms. The four day long program left a lasting impact on participants evident from the positive energy they had expressed in all these days. Towards the end, a highly motivating closing note was presented by a great role model for all the women participants – Prof. Dr. Nasira Jabeen – Dean Faculty of Economics & Management Sciences & Director IAS. She, from her personal life experience as a women leader summed up Women Leadership, the constructive and positive roles that women can play in the society in the view of cultural and social responsibilities especially in Pakistan’s context. She shared the examples of great women that have proven their strengths in all aspects of life through balancing their professional and domestic roles.
